Warriors & Writings Introductory Edition has just been updated to Version 2, doubling your options!

Along with some expanding the rules slightly for clarity, two new major additions have been made to the game.

A New Adventurer Arrives: The Sage

While The Hero focuses on swordplay, The Sage is a magic user with a ranged attack. This advantage is offset by the need to use an action to rest and recover grit.

A New Map is Ready to Explore: The Ancient Barrow

The Barrow Lord is a dangerous boss enemy, but breaking the spirit jars placed throughout his dungeon will weaken him substantially. The clock is ticking, though, so how many spirit jars will you track down before braving this terrible foe?

Looking Ahead

I'm excited to provide these additional components in the Introductory Edition. One of the best things about W&W for me, is the variety of play experiences that come from attempting different combinations of adventurers and maps. With Version 2 of the Introductory Edition, you can now get a sampling of that.

The full edition of the game is planned to have (at a minimum) two adventurers and three maps, all of which will be more advanced, and provide more nuanced challenges, than what is presented in the Introductory Edition. Another two adventurers and three maps are already well along in development, with more in the works.

A crowdfunding campaign is planned for early 2023. The results of this campaign will determine the final content of the full edition.
